Injury in a public place

 

A trip, slip or fall claim is known as a "public liability" case. They can happen on any land or building that the public has access to - this can be on roads, pavements and car parks, in buildings, shops, restaurants and supermarkets to name just a few.

The occupiers of the land or building have a duty of care to ensure their property is safe for public access. 

 

Unfortunately though, many council authorities, businesses and employers, neglect their responsibilities which, inevitably, leads to otherwise avoidable accidents as a result of their failings.
